No, it's the other way around. Originally, the song was omitted from the American release... probably for being too dark or whatever. It was added not that long ago to newer versions. Basically, for decades, people in the US who used to love the film were even happier to learn of this missing song that only those in the UK got to experience.
well how about that. It is a very fun song and I still don't quite see why it was removed

Sounds delicious, and this is coming from a guy who throws out expired baked goods on a near-daily basis (because our customers are cheap and won't buy anything that isn't reduced in price).
Hopefully, some of the music on the album will happy. I like happy music.
